Come and dig into the “the kitchen sink,” a sundae literally served in an actual kitchen sink.  Besides the sundaes, enjoy warm doughnut ice cream sandwiches featuring glazed or chocolate glazed doughnuts split open with your choice of ice cream and topping and warmed.

Scoops N’More

A family-owned mom-and-pop ice cream spot with more than 16 hard ice cream flavors and four soft serves. The shop offers a nostalgic Americana feeling due to its old-timey flair and outdoor “stand” appeal.

Expect something for everyone at this little slice of icy heaven. Owners Patty and Jim Turco make their own ice cream and Italian ices and rotate most flavors. Some favs: Strawberry Cheesecake, Mango Coconut, Blue Goo (Cotton Candy),  and Green Slime (Green Apple) 

 

Rockland County

Piermont Creamery

Opened right before the pandemic, Piermont Creamery has become a quick sensation. A simple but old-fashioned ice cream shop that specializes in homemade ice cream.  Enjoy a variety of 20 flavors including some exciting flavors such as Honey Fresh Ginger, Magical Unicorn, and Matcha Green Tea. 

Petey Wheaty’s

There are four soft serve flavors (with no fructose) and 16 hard ice cream flavors including Death by Chocolate, Brownie Batter, and Cherry Vanilla. While the main attraction is ice cream there’s also plenty of other options including locally made five-ounce burgers, a pizza roll, grilled chicken sandwich, skin-on fries and more.

 

Dutchess County

Holy Cow

If you grew up in or around Dutchess County, chances are you know all about Holy Cow. Enjoy a classic old-school sundae with hot fudge sauce and a cherry or any of their homemade flavors such as Banana Butterfinger, Dental Associates Minty Molar, and Dark Chocolate Indulgence. Fair warning, the tough decision of deciding which ice cream flavor to get, requires a lot of thought.    

 

Orange County

Italian Ice delivered straight to me, YES PLEASE! An over-the-top Italian ice truck featuring italian ices, hard ice cream, milkshakes, soda floats, and more. I promise that all their icy treats are  certainly nothing to fuggedabout. 

 

Ulster County

Boice Brothers

A low-key legend more than a century old offers sweet treats for every generation. Enjoy local and fresh products including ice cream, milk, and other dairy goods. Don’t forget to come by  and enjoy their Maple Dole whip when it’s in season. 

Alleyway Ice Cream

A true hidden treasure in the Hudson Valley, Alleyway offers delectable frozen treats with some truly interesting flavors including Sweet Tea, Vegan Cold Brew, and Ube Health Bar ice cream. Highly recommended for those with a true taste for adventure. 

 

Albany County

Kurver Kreme

Calling all Soft Serve addicts!!! Kurver Kreme offers a range of homemade soft serve ice creams in flavors such as Orange Sherbert and Hazelnut. If you’re not into soft serve, enjoy one of their homemade sundaes in flavors such as Hot Butterscotch Krunch and Raspberry Chocolate Rapture.    

 

Columbia County

Village Scoop

Bittersweet is homemade artisan ice cream located in downtown catskill,  featuring whimsical  flavors such as lavender and limoncello.
