Don’t miss out on our next Crafting with the Maker where we learn how to make wafer paper roses for you amateur bakers out there! The class will be taught by local cake-decorating artist, Anne Savstano of Faerie Cakes.

The class will be held on Friday, February 16th from 6 pm -8 pm at the iHeart Hudson Valley Market. 6 Depot Street, Suite 104, Washingtonville, NY 10916.

What you will learn:

In this class, you will learn how to make a delicate rosebud, a beautiful 2″-3″ rose & rose leaves out of edible wafer paper to decorate your fabulous cakes for any occasion.

You will learn how to condition the wafer paper as well as color, construct & finish your roses so that they look almost lifelike.

The techniques you will learn can also be used on many types of other edible flowers.

Your instructor is Anne Savastano of Faerie Cakes etc in Crawford,  NY. She has been decorating cakes for the past 7 years after retiring from her long nursing career. She has studied with Anna Astashkina of Florea Cakes and Maggie Austin of Maggie Austin Cakes, author of Artistry and Technique.

All participants must pre-register. No walk-ins will be accepted.
